LGBTQ+ International travel in UK Higher Education - implications for policy and practice
Show Notes

In a special Pride Month episode, we talk to Dr Frances Hamilton (Senior Lecturer in Law) and Cameron Giles (Postgraduate Researcher) from the Law School at Northumbria University about their recent research into UK Higher Education travel policies and how they apply to LGBTQ+ staff and students. We explore how the research came about, what they found and some of the issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community including legal, social and health impacts. The range of policies and what they include is covered and we discuss what next as the internationalisation agenda of UK universities increases. The lessons learned can apply to universities across the world.

If you want to know more about the research then please contact Dr Hamilton via email at: frances.hamilton@northumbria.ac.uk
